They're still compatible.

It was all about the top core titles, reminders of a few other things coming out, and also KInect.  No word about Game Room either and what other companies signed on.  Will expect to see other press conferences cover them.  Microsoft is all about Kinect now.

People still dont get how pricing works when you have existing product.

Cost to produce the existing Elite with 120GB HDD > Elite with 250GB HDD.
Cost to produce the existing Elite with 120GB HDD much > then new Slim with 250GB HDD and WiFi
Cost to produce the existing Arcade much > then a new Slim Arcade without HDD

So if you dont release the new Slim with HDD now you continue to produce a more expensive to produce console. Not smart.

If you release new Slim with 250GB HDD at fall price of say $249 then the current Elites need to go on sale to $199. Arcades to $99.99.  So you release Slim at current price and reduce the other older SKUs by $50

Later this summer when stock is cleared you introduce the Slim Arcade and Skim with Kinect SKUs and lower the price fo the Slim 250GB.

And here is another scenario.

Elite unit comes with Kinect, while the Arcade unit doesn't.

Call of Duty looks great, and has a less "Action Hero" feel that MW2 had.
Nice grab on the CoD content
The Slicing and dicing looks great in Metal Gear Solid: Rising
But will that be the only gameplay element? Hopefully there'll be more to it than that.
Gears looked great!
Apparently I missed the boat on Fable, because III really doesn't look like a must own experience.
And compared to Gears, Rising, and Black Ops, it's definitely not a looker.
Halo Reach was very pretty.
Space battles?! Totally awesome!

ESPN using Kinect was great.
In fact, the whole interface using Kinect was probably the best part of the show. Looks great.

YourShape, however, looks like it will be the kill app for Kinect. Great use of the peripheral.
Dance Central looked groovy when the lady was up there.
But the guy was cringe worthy. Expect gifs.
Star Wars had some neat Light Saber controls!
But it's on rails... and the movement was very clunky.
And why is there Storm Troopers on Naboo?
Kinect is launching on Nov. 4th!

I didn't watch one second of the show (I was playing Assassin's Creed 2) but it sounds like MS showed a lot of good 360  games innitially, then went on to showcase some diverse Kinect games that showed that the device worked (but copied Nintendo in every concievable way), and finished up with some new and impressive redesign.

I sense a lot of hate and maybe, when I watch the show, it will be justified.  On paper, it sounds pretty good.  Now, I gotta find those videos for MGS Rising, Halo Reach, and Gears of War 3!!!

like some usb devices need two usb port's for it to power the device.

the orig. xbox360's can still use the same except they will need a external powersupply for the Kinect to plug into the wall. most likely anywhere from 5 to 9 volt's hell maybe even less. so it may not be that much power required to power Kinect.
