I find that on forums, since their is a high degree of secrecy as to who the person you are actually talking to is, people tend to make bolder / stupider statements with the sole purpose of getting a rise out of people

It is called the "Internet Tough Guy" Syndrome.  If you cannot see me, you cannot harm me, so I will say whatever I want. It is unfortunately the same as someone standing behind a wall talking to someone else.  They are much more likely to be an absolute jackass than if they were standing face to face. 

I put gaming up there with Politics and Religion.  They are just subjects that "most" people cannot debate.  They are so entrenched in their respective side that they cannot or will not see any other.

How can you disagree with a statement and example o_O.  Though I really wasn't involved in that thread at all, just saw the fallout of it, read the entire thread and some of the things said were just stupid lol

And sorry I wasn't able to make one solid rant, I got kinda frustrated and had to vent, plus I was half asleep writing this.  But overall my sentiment is that, I believe everyone is a logical creature in the end, we search for truth in things, sometimes the truth we're taught/shown isn't the actual truth so we need to have an open mind and listen to others when they try to tell us something and I encourage people TO say something because facts always back up the truth, and we really need to do this as many other enthusiasts of other artistic mediums see a bunch of man children too busy fighting each other and its not just the fans but the media and developers too. 

There's no way anyone can take you seriously acting like that, and if fans start acting mature first then media outlets have to cater to them, and developers have less reason to make absurd claims.

Having a different point of view makes you a hater and a troll, didn't you get the memo?

I think that I am here to observe -I rarely post- people discussing stuff you think it's not worth discussing, you know it's fun to defend and attack and learn some arguing tactics and most of the time it's funneh lol :)
