also i think the trouble was that he was great at his work and liked his own separate PS department but for the DIGITAL ERA the departments of SONY needed to be interconnected which brought other people getting in the way so he didn't like that

You really think Kurtagi made all the great games for PS1 and PS2? All they did was provide a better model for third parties. When he didn't with PSP / DS, they've struggled. Same is true for Yamauchi / Iwata / Ballmer / Sega / Atari.

Everything you can like about PS1 / PS2 is tied to game publisher economics. It doesn't really have anything to do with Kurtagi. When all the third parties work together on a single platform its pretty easy to be powerful. Once they stop throwing their weight around in the same direction all that power dissappears. Doesn't make any of the hw manufacturers 'geniuses'.

The guy is such a genious, hes pushed Blue Ray and HD much faster in a market that already had devices that already worked just fine but at half the capacity.

See this is when I say. Look folks Sony is in it to sell more TVs and DvD players. They just want to create more need of something we dont always need that bad of.  They just want you to buy more of there crap.  Thats the Sony experience or Vision for gaming . We want to creat a situation that will make people want to buy are TVs and Blue rays. and whatever hardware they are making. Thats there Marketing plan. If  you think hes a geniouse for making HD and BlueRay a success, ya sure. If blue ray and HD is selling a ton right now he sure went against the grain. he sold a bunch of TVs and DvD readers to a market that already had a lower end machine in the house. A machine Sony had marcket share in  4 years back.  Hes such a genious cause he sold Snow to Canadiens.

Yes thats really genious cause they have a crap load of snow up there. And now that you bought your HD TV he is pushing you to buy there 3D TV Genious. absolut genious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He dint change how we watch TV He dint change how we watch movies. He made it look two times better and made a crap load of cash doing it. That takes alot of vision.
