The majority of these threads do not claim America = WW yet so many people get that as the only meaning from the thread. Can we please stop being so blind??
I almost made a thread earlier today asking that question. I mean, it's really stupid after all...

NPD is US only and America isn't US only . I know it's not the answer to your question (lol) but I don't know if you know that Canada and Mexico are countries too.

I think he's Microsoft's American guy, so what he has said is fair. Would be a different case if someone responsible for the worldwide 360 business would only use American numbers. Because this is an internet gaming forum. Sorry, but the brightest of people do not come to these places. Gaming forums like this I have noticed tend to attract the sensationalist crowd. Those who prefer lies, false values and hype more than content and information. Rational discussion is not popular on such sites. Which is too bad.
Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.
Cuz it's true and MS is pretty much using that mentality in it's PR of late....so captain obvious demands showing the misleading nature of what they say
If you want to blame someone, blame those who make such statements, and imo such statements and even threads like this is what real damage control is

The concept that it is appropriate for companies to release completely bias numbers only to have them repeated by an over enthusiastic fan boy and not expect to draw the ire of the competition is ridiculous.
It is interesting Microsoft is usually the ones releasing such extreme statements, I mean it would be easy for Nintendo to release PR statements left and right about how so and so game is destroying x game but they don't do it.
It would be easy to talk about how Wii Play has sold twice as much as Halo 3 Worldwide or how Wii continues to destroy the competition in sales.
Its a matter of integrity some companies have it others don't.
