This is the result of it. Likewise we could ask why such statistical data limited to one particular area (even if it's a large one like the USA) is presented in the first place. It could very well be interpreted as cherry-picking and for what is cherry-picking usually used? To make one's own position look better than it actually is.

I have to take a look at the thread in question to see what it really was about. The above paragraph is just a general observation.

EDIT: Oh, it's a Greenburg twitter quote. I think he's Microsoft's American guy, so what he has said is fair. Would be a different case if someone responsible for the worldwide 360 business would only use American numbers. So yeah, we are looking at damage control from the other side here.
