XMB uses 10MB OF RAM, AND DOES NOT USE THE SPU FOR ANYTHING except start up
by the way "USER INTERFACE OVERHAUL HAHAHAHAHHA" kills the XMB theory if it were true

PLAUSTAGINO 4?!?!?!?!?!?

Leo, the reserved SPU isn't for linux, it's for the actual game OS. The XMB wouldnt' be able to show up if the SPU wasn't running the OS in the background... and the XMB uses way more than 10 megs, last I checked it was at 60 (For comparison purposes NXE is at 30). Though it could have gotten down to less than 60. Still these ads, why abandon the amazing ads they made with Kevin Butler for these almost abstract unfunny ads?? OS 4 is my guess, if these viral ads are indeed made by Sony.

the XMB reserves 48mb of ram for in game use(as of fimrware 3.0). and it barely touches the SPU for xmb usage..

Guess they did get it down from 60 and barely uses the SPU? Even if it barely did I wouldn't want to share OS functions with a game... And besides even with a freed SPU it, drawing an image twice isn't taxing the CPU it's taxing the GPU.

yes that's true, I guess it's a wait and see game.. thank you for killing my PS4 mood..
