Okay, so who else, then? I believe those comments, even if they were misquoted/completely wrong, are pretty spot on. There are only a few developers in Japan who create games that sell very well while there are more in the West.

There is no simple broad generalisation that you can make like that, and the best stories of games that I have played have been Heavy Rain (France) and Mass Effect 2 (Canada)

Isnt GTA4 by Rockstar in EU (unless your talking about publishing and not developing)? so that doesnt count as Western. You're from UK you should know.  So now you're just solely basing all of Japan's hit Mr T-Tar stated against only CoD series and FIFA?

If you actually made a list of sucessful Japanese games compared to Western i think you'd see that overall there's alot more in Japan's favour.
