I couldnt care less about the rankings, Its called MY OPINION. If i cared about the rankings Id have asked you to tell me them. No, the PS3 controls arent primitive. You can just as easily WAGGLE the PS3 sixaxis and get the same bloody results for a spin move. The wiimote was barely used at all, and it felt like nintendo went "We have to justify having a motion sensor, lets use it for this". Short levels, to me, doesnt equal interest. But, as the Wii is for casual gamers we have to dumb down the game or little 7 year olds or 50 year olds wont be interested. I think SMG is a brilliant game, but I dont like the fact it lost potential to increase sales. |
Yeah which is why I was saying your opinion doesn't carry much weight.
Yeah it is primitive, you couldn't get the same effect with the PS3 controller, because they are joined unlike the Wiimote which is split into two parts and it would be awkward, the Wiimote controls on the other hand were elegant in their simplicity, sure the motion controls weren't used a lot but why use them too much when you don't have to, the better developers know how to balance its use.
Short levels don't mean a short game, with 120 stars, and the possibility of playing as Luigi, there is no lost potential. The game ranks in at around 30-40 hours, a long enough game by most standards, if you think it is somehow lacking you must not have actually played through ti the full way
Have to disagree, if the idea is to try and limit the complexity then waggling the nunchuk or wiimote is more natural than adding in another button combination.
