Wow this topic has taken quite a turn to same stale talk of xbox outselling the ps3. 

It depends on what is meant with the word rebranding for it to really mean anything substantial. And rebranding is a good idea in my opinion.

To be honest I think many will. I dont think sales of individual Natal units will be that high. It will be mainly new 360 Natal bundles that will sell. Sending the 360 WW figures above Wii for sometime.

I think we are in for a shock this holiday. Serious 360 sales.

I don't think he would have said the same thing last year, 

This year it would seem that the 360 actually does have a chance of getting the number one spot though.

MW2? I said if M$ dropped the price. LOL.

Oh snap!  Notice how the new 360 game design shows almost like waves of green/yellow... I didn't believe that Wave would be the official name for Natal, but if it is, I think this goes along with it quite well.

MS will almost certainly attempt to rebrand their console much in the same way as Sony did, and attempt to recreate it's thunder. That much was obvious after PS3 slim sales numbers started to flow in.

I don't think it will have quite the same level of success, (ie it wont reach PS3 slim numbers) but it does have Natal going for it, and possibly a much bigger marketing push from MS.

I'm not on the bandwagon of Natal (or Move) roping in huge amounts of casuals and catapulting sales, but we'll  have to wait and see. I don't think I've ever been this excited for an E3.

Whatever they are doing they should get it done.  The rumours of cuts and redesigns and Natal bundles have seriously hurt their recent sales.  I will be pleasantly surprised if Natal is a huge hit.  This isn't the leading edge of the fitness, lifestyle wave that Ninty rode.  After the initial buzz and sales surge I expect adoption to be gradual. 

Meanwhile money that could be pushing SW or base HW is tied up in a somewhat risky venture.   I'm not interested in gaming as a physical activity personally.  It is an exercise in imagination and an escape from the mundane that I'm looking for.  I'd rather take my bike to the park for an hour and then play a good rpg.  I'm used to the controller and I don't need a new interface. 

I can't be the only one with these attitudes and expecting aunt Jane to buy another box when their Wii is working just fine seems optimistic at best.  It will depend on the holiday blitz and the initial offering of games.  3 days to E3.
