Well the reason that thread killed the site was partially going way over the old servers bandwidth limits and just so many posts being processed at once just slowed down the site as a whole, no game will quite come close to that sort of hype I don't think, and after the server change and the new forum updates I highly doubt the site will die like that again.

Someone should give Morgan Webb that Super Mario Bros. movie from the early 1990s to watch, and then ask her if she still thinks Mario games shouldn't look cartoony.

Gaming journalists are people too. I've seen a few members of staff on here bashing games without reason in the past. And stealth trolls are supposed to give a "reasonable argument"  hense why they are stealth trolls. If a person is stealthy with their trolling, they are going to say something more then "WAH WAH WAH MARIO SUCKS WAH WAH WAH." They are going to try to convince you of why the game is terrible instead of giving baseless reasons. e.e

People paid to conduct themselves in a professional manner. Despite gaming journalists continually behaving like juveniles, I will still hold them to a professional standard. I get enough ill supported opinions and unsubstantiated claims in gaming forums.
