I already did, the scaling of the SLI with the Fermi cards is ridiculous.

Sorry; the use of the word 'and' implied you were making two seperate points.

Damn quad SLI GTX 480s and there epic win filled awesomeness

But the lack of game benchmarks is a tad disappointing, and I thought the fact that the tweaktown one didn't benchmark any DX11 games (or at least the Haven demo) was disappoint. But I guess synthetic benches will have to do.


Hah...It would be cool to see a rig that runs Crysis at 500 frames per second. :)
I doubt they could keep this set up stable stable enough to play and test a bunch of PC games to be honest.

maybe we will see one in a few years lol I can see it now 2 8 core CPUs clocked at 4 Ghz and 5 Duel GPU GFX cards lol.

and the reason why 480GTX is better in this case is because you can use 3 monitor 3d surround gaming

 

Also you definitly went wrong on storage - get LSI or other good brand sas/sata raid controler and put 8 sand force based SSDs into it for 2 GB/s reads

This thread is about what would make an ultimate PC, not the ultimate gaming PC.

So 2 CPUs and tons of RAM make sense if you want to do 3d rendering, heavy batch processing in photoshop, ect.
