Eventuaslly yes but more to do so with wii crappin out then anything else.

3rd party wont support the wii with their games selling a hell of alot less then 1st party, nearly 15 times less (compare the top sellers).

Wii does not have a good library, wiis 3rd party failure will equal retailers focusing on PS3/360 alot more.

As far as momentum, um with what will Nintendo keep it up with ?

People will buy the system with the most diverse/most well known franchises as they always have.

Third party publishers really don't care how their titles sell in comparison to Nintendo's titles, they only care about the return on investment and how well their titles met their expectations. Ubisoft couldn't care less that Rayman: Raving Rabids was outsold by Wario Ware and Mario Party 8, or that Red Steel was outsold by Metroid Prime, they only care that these two games each represented one of the best return on investments of the year and that they (easily) surpassed their expectations; the same holds true of most publishers who have produced games which were not shovelware.

In AA exclusive games? YES.
In hardware sales? Maybe yes, maybe not.
In software sales? Maybe yes, but not until 2009, though there some chances.

Every 5 seconds on earth one child dies from hunger...

2009.04.30 - PS3 will OUTSELL x360 atleast by the middle of 2010. Japan+Europe > NA.

Gran Turismo 3 - 1,06 mln. in 3 weeks with around 4 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Gran Turismo 4 - 1,16 mln. with 18 mln. PS2 on the launch.

Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.

1.8 mln. PS3 today(2008.01.17) in Japan. Now(2009.04.30) 3.16 mln. PS3 were sold in Japan.
PS3 will reach 4 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 25k.

PS3 may reach 5 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 50k.
PS2 2001 vs PS3 2008 sales numbers =) + New games released in Japan by 2009 that passed 100k so far

How can you even suggest that the PS3 would come close to the number of high quality exclusive games as the Wii will have? (Pretty much) every game of note that is going to be produced by third parties for the Wii in the near future will be 100% exclusive for the Wii, while at the same time (pretty much) every game of note that is going to be produced by third parties for the PS3 in the near future will be available on the XBox 360 and/or PC; without even looking at first parties (where Nintendo has a far better track record than Sony) the Wii should dominate.

NO game of note will be produced for the wii cause they would be a sales failure.

Highest wii 3rd party seller with out Mario or anything to do with nintendo is 1.34 million.  Highest PS3 3rd party game is 1.68 million.

How cant you suggest any one would make wii exclusives if the gods honest truth is 3rd party games overall have been a failure.

I love how Sony fans always cherry pick ...

Look at any publishers sales on the PS3 and you will see that the vast majority of their titles do not sell more than 250,000 units (typically selling less than 125,000 units) even though the development costs on a PS3 game are very high; there have been (about) 120 games released and 32 are above 250,000 units sold, with 63 above 125,000 units sold.

The Wii, in contrast, has not had that much expensive or high quality third party support yet but has 46 games above 250,000 units sold, and 77 above 125,000 units sold ...

Third party publishers are essentially being asked whether they want to invest $2 to $10 Million on a Wii game which will (for the most part) have revenues between $4 and $60 Million, or to invest $20 to $80 Million on a PS3 game which will (for the most part) have revenues between $4 and $80 ... Which has the better return on investment and which is higher risk?

i doubt if the ps3 will ever catch up to the wii... itll probably outsell it here and there during the year depending on the game or games that come out.. but i think ten mil is too much to overcome...

Anyway, untill PS3 will START outselling Wii for sever month WW, there can`t be no talks about ps3 domination in hardware ove wii. =)

i love how wii fans pull numbers out of thin air..

Alot of those titles were just 360 ports costing only 10% of initial production costs, selling 100/200k is pretty good.

Gears of War cost what 10 million, Halo3 30 million.  Even a huge production like Killzone 2 is rumored at max 40 million so i really would like to know where you get your 80 million number and please no fanboy blogs or some idiot analyst.

There is no higher risk then releasing a real game on the wii, Zack/Wiki and No more heros already proved that. Even a great title like Metroid manages only a bit over 1 million and that surely was not a cheep title to make.
