Personally I like 2D Mario a lot more. 2D Mario is faster and it is a lot more fun especially with 4 people playing at once. That being said 3D Mario games are great as well and would be amazing if they had real co-op. Just get the game, you will like it, but it won't be as fun.

Played and finished the game (didn't get the "other" stars yet, I mean I see no reason to get them anyways).

I must say I feel extremely indifferent compared to when I finished the first Super Mario Galaxy. I guess it wouldn't make a bit of a difference for you though, so get it.

As of now I have 29 stars and I must say that S.M.G.2 is an amazing Mario game and is 1 of my favorite Mario games of all time but im only about 1/2 way done so I can't say my full opinion. The main problem I have with this game is the Motion controls like using the spin attacks and digging tool as well as even yoshi when he jumps even though that doesn't use motion. The controls for this game can be annoying at times and I have even quit for awhile because of the controls but it doesn't happen offten and is mostly only during Motion controls which isn't used much. So far great game but not a perfact 10 like reviews have said though.

The game starts off kind of slow, and there is a really annoying sound that pops up every now and then that sounds like some sort of grinding sound, but outside of that the game is a masterpiece and a must own, I have about 60 stars so far and have enjoyed it thoroughly!!

One thing that has stood out to me is how high the user reviews are for it. So even if the game isn't 'perfect', is extremely good and it appears that very few people don't like it.

It is better than the first. A must buy, I say.

Having beat it I gotta say its the best 3D Mario ever, I mean its got a lot of crazy cool ideas going, its fun, it has 2D levels as well as 3D, and the new elements are just awesome, not being too detailed I know but it's something anyone that likes platforming games should look into.
