Leo-Js just giving his opinion, some of you need to chill out.
Wild Arms is definitely a hit or miss franchise. I personally love it and know a good few people who cannot stand the series.
Suikoden is by far my favorite JRPG franchise but I cannot play Suikoden 1 without following it up with 2 and 3, so I cannot advise someone else to do so.

Got to love Alicia
@Xxain. I'm a FF fanboy, and look at what i said ¬_¬ Final Fantasy is widely considered as the biggest and best JRPG series. Comparing games to THAT series is what happens. A lot.

I love everything in Wild Arms except for the battle system. The story and soundtrack aregreat, and the dungeon crawling is certainly one of the best. But the battle system is completely dull, imo.
As for Suikoden, it left no impression on me. It did nothing bad, but it also didn't do anything to leave an impression on me. Recruiting people was fun, but overall, I found it average.
My choice: Wild Arms

Thats new to me, I never ever have judged a JRPG I respect them all for being them but I guess I should of reworded that.... it still annoys me hell though. You will never appreciate other JRPG's if your constantly comparing it to FF they all dont have the budget. Play the game for what is not for what it isnt. |
I'm not saying i agree with it.
I'm just saying i see it a lot on the internet and in real. People always compare JRPG's to Final Fantasy. All because of the brand name. It's the same with FPS games and Halo/Call of Duty.
