I'm probably not going buy it. But that sounds great :)

and local multiplayer????

no local multiplayer no game!

Not quite a deal breaker for me, but if there is, it will be a first priority purchase.

It's baffling (and annoying) how rare local splitscreen has become this gen. Do people not have real friends anymore or something?

And yet the top selling FPS (and TPS counting Gears) still have split-screen, don't they?

I would also say that's also a major reason Red Steel 2 hasn't sold as well as the first game (and I own 2, but not one).

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

Oh, I agree, especially on RS2.

I meant that it sadly doesn't seem standard any more like it used to be; so many games that should have it don't; all Wii COD games so far, The Conduit, Killzone 2...

Yet Conduit 2 will have split-screen, since HVS talked to fans and customers, and that was something they said the game lacked. Plus apparently Treyarch said they wanted that in MWR, but it wasn't ready by the time the game was due.

It's good to know that people still want it, and that devs like Treyarch and HVS are aware of this, my point was many other devs don't seem to acknowledge this enough; it should have equal priority to online multiplayer in my opinion.

Okay, I gotta write that article I've been planning, which covers why this happens. In a nutshell, many developers/reviewers/enthusiasts think features like that don't sell games, and think other things do. And it's not just when it comes to the Wii. Look at how many series have inflated costs and development times this gen, and how few are selling significantly better this gen to justify those.

Hmmm, by how much? Hopefully this version will have the same levels and online features like the other ones.

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

Activision is purely capable of providing the online on their own. I mean, they have to for the PC version, at least, so they could run up their own servers for the Wii version and get around friend codes just fine.

they're bringing back dedicated servers from what I read

Just like they said: They're not bringing it back or something. MW2 wasn't their game. WaW had it and they'll just continue from there.
