My thoughts exactly! How can you give a perfect 10 to a game that uses copy paste in boss fights? 9/10 seems more like it.

Wow, people are funny. Why get so riled up about a game's review? Whatever happened to just playing games that you like and not caring about what other games, or heck even the game you are currently playing, was rated?

Now, if the game you're playing sucks and you wasted $60 on it, then, by all means, be PISSED! Somehow though I don't think (I don't know as I haven't played it) that anyone would consider SMG2 a waste of money if they bought it.

Copy/Paste boss fights? Have you played it?

you guys do know that 10/10 in video game rating is not perfection right? that it's just really really really really good? people have different tastes in gaming so there is never a true 10/10, that just means smg2 is really really really really good.

Every person in this thread sayin SMG2 is copypaste:

1) Either hasn't played the game
2) Or was nitpicking along the way, every little detail, e.g. ''that flower's from Dusty Garden Galaxy'', therefore not actually playing it.

You are entitled not liking the game, even scoring it a 5, I don't know, but you simply CAN'T claim this is a direct copypaste job. That's fact.

It makes it the best platformer ever released, and I would say it's the best combination soundtrack of the history of video gaming.

Copy and Paste? Im glad they did what they did because it gave them twice as much time to spend on incredible level design. Really, making a new model for mario or a new sound clip for him saying woohoo would have been a waste of time, resources and money. They made new stuff of what matters.

Yep, you nailed it.. Wii can never do anything right in the eyes of some people.

My take on the backlash on Galaxy 2's great scores by some people is that they have this precieved notion that Wii is supposed to be the console with inferior games to the precious HD consoles. It's one of the few things they have left to diss the Wii on, now that it's proven to have the most hardware sales, most software sales, most and best exclusives, best price, motion controls, which the competitors are now immitating, even the best 3rd party sales. The apparent lack of AAA core games is one of the last bastions they have to hold against the Wii, and now that something is occuring to disrupt that preconcieved notion, they don't know how to handle it, so they lash out.

This obviously doesn't fit the mold for everyone, as some people just simply don't agree with the reviews, which is understandable. But this is the only way I can see to explain the irrational HATRED and anger for the reviews coming from some people.
