Maybe I can put the optical input from X360 into my sound card on the PC? And the sound card sends the sound to the Logiteck speakers?

That's so weird. I just bought a Samsung Syncmaster LCD 24" yesterday. Mine has speakers in it and I'm using it for my Xbox 360.

Can't I just put head-phones into my X360 and get sound from there?

i think you can hook the sound to your pc

Unless you have a 200 dollar sound card, you don't have optical in :)  Very few do...

What exactly is the problem ? No need to use the optical output (I have no idea how that works anyway) or use head-phones.

You still need to connect the 360 with your monitor and the VGA cable comes with an easy audio solution.

Neither Xbox nor PS3 have the headphone jack. Last console that had that was...ummm "Genesis Does! You can't do this on nintend..."

You can do a mix of adapters to get a headphone jack using RCA or component cables but you have to worry about video too. You have VGA or DVI port to work with on that monitor. Hence the only option you have is that VGA adapter...

I want to run headphones because I get better immersion plus other people in my house dont get upset from the sounds.

Is the right plugin the side which i put inside the X360 and the left side is into monitor?

They sell this for 300 SEK here, which is rufly $30-40.

yes its the same adapter. You can still use headphones with that cable by using an adapter like this...
