You don't think he is funny in the ads?

He's funny.
I just am a Bears fan and think that it's funny that have the same name.

Don't be delusional, going into denial won't help your condition, accept the sad truth: everybody and his dog know that when he sees Kevin, Shiggy poops his pants and Iwata's too (being the boss has its privileges, even high execs pooping your pants in your stead)!

The problem is you are assuming the Move is something worth countering already. If the games are not appealing to the mainstream, then the greater controls and graphics fall into basically the same trap that lost the HD systems billions. |
This is a different issue: I perfectly know that to succeed Move needs good games, and maybe more than that: good games that are also appealing for PS3's current audience and for the expanded one Sony tries to attract. But this issue is instead the perceived features offered as standard, Move offers that 1:1 tracking included, so Nintedo must offer it, and it's obvious that to follow its strategy of outguessing and possibly disrupting its competitors, it can't wait to see whether Move is successful or not, it must be ready before: this obviously apply only to Wii's key features, Nintendo doesn't need and never needed BD, for example, but WiiMote is an essential feature and Nintendo can't afford the risk of it being outsmarted, particularly due to the current situation, 1:1 itracking is not a heavens know what exotic feature, it's a thing that Nintendo offers as a pay add-on, but that current tech could allow to include in the standard controller at a cost lower than what the original one had one year ago, with two added pros, not having a "thingy" attached to it and widening the potential user base, so that 3rd parties would have a bigger incentive to develop for it.

It's to make him and the company too save the face. The boss must never poop his pants in public. Don't you remember "Rising Sun"?

I don't think he's funny. At all. I've said it in other threads about him. He makes Sony look like they are in the lead and that they are owning in sales (while the current sales of the PS3 have been getting higher, they aren't that high compared to Nintendo's). Kevin Butler just makes it seem like Sony is getting too smug about themselves because they think they are on top again with recent sales. Clearly they aren't as VGChartz shows. Plus to me his acting and ads just make him look like a total fool. He's not funny and just tries too hard to be. That's my opinion, though, so I hope I don't get talked to by a mod or admin if that seems like I'm flaming.

Think about this: if Kevin manages to persuade people that Sony is market leader again, he's doing his job damn well. Anyway, although I like those ads, I won't buy a PS3, at least not at the current price.

I know what you mean by that with Kevin Butler's persuasion, though Sony is still in dead last (yet the PS3 is catching up very close to the X360). I mean, if the PS3 only does everything, why not play PS2 games along with PSOne and PS3 games? It kind of defeats the purpose of saying it does everything and not that. I wouldn't buy the PS3 until it's $99 and has the games I want. Plus for now I would want it as it's the best Blu-Ray player on the market (though my laptop has Blu-Ray, it has its limits with its GeForce 9600M GT card; I wish I could upgrade this card to the latest GeForce 480 GTX...
). But yeah, I don't find Kevin Butler funny or anything; he's just being too smug in my opinion.
