Do we really need a million threads for this game? Seriously people. It was bad when the Conduit came out but this is getting ridiculous! NOT EVERYONE wants to talk about Red Dead Redemption no matter how good it is.

As someone who got bored of the GTA sandbox formula after Vice City, and found GTA4 unbarable after 10 hours...what makes this game so good? I am honestly asking...like what is different here?

Mini games? Mission structure? Controls?

I'm not saying it isn't good for someone that can't get enough GTA or sandbox...but after the thrashing that GTA4 got, i am surprised this is getting hugs from everyone.

All I see in those videos is that they substitued car for horse, and adjusted the missions/mini games for the time period...and added lasso.

I haven't played RDR yet. I probably won't either especially with how crappy GTA IV was.

Depends on what you hated in GTA IV.


I hated the part that you always need to go to a hotdog stand for getting health in GTA IV.

In RDR you regenerate so that is a big + for me.

I hated GTA4 as I felt that it was wasting my time. Like I don't know which mission is the most fun, yet there are so many choices and no indication which are better than others...

The game is making me do these boring and repetitive missions so it would be 30 hours long instead of a brisk fun 10 hours.

That was my problem with the missions too. I also hated the driving.

Why not just go over to metacritic and read the reviews?

I'm sure theyll provide you enough info on how the game is...or heck look on youtube vids...

And this game imo makes GTA4 look like the joke it really was.

Its a big game, and we can easily call it an unexpected hit both critically and financially IMO. So get used to it, it will be hyped and every game thats similar will get the same ammount of threads. The only difference between this and TC is that this game actually looks like it deserves the hype its getting...

I dunno, but IMO your Nintendo support, and the fact that this game is HD only, could have something to do with the fact that you hate the attention this game is getting.
