I think both regions will be above 20 million each by the end of Sony's FY 2011.

What do you all think? Is it possible?

Both above 20 million? Hmm, that could be a hard challenge in NA I think, not impossible but it'll have to kick into gear very soon to accomplish that. Eu/Others will certainly achieve it though.

NA will be difficult. Others i think is 100% confirmed. I will say...

NA - 18-19M (Will depend on possible Pricecut, Colours and how PS Move does)

Others - 21M (Will make it easily due to Man Furismo Jive)

Japan - 7 Million (I have no idea if this is even possible... But oh well)

2011 predictions

Others is on lock, but depending on GT5 impact then it may be possible for Americas. But, if xbox slim is real and Natal turns out a success(system seller) then it will be real hard for PS3 to dominate in sells this holiday resulting short of 20m.

Others, yes; NA, no.

The PS3 lineup this coming Xmas holiday is the strongest in the history of this gens consoles. In Europe/others the PS3 could well hit 20 mil, maybe 17/18 mil in US. other than halo reach theres nothing M$ have to compete on the same level of the PS3 line-up. and i dont think natal or move will change anything drastically.

but there is the rumoured 360 slim console, with a new price point it would slow PS3 sales, but the 360 is already cheaper than PS3 here in the UK, by a good £50 quid, so maybe a slim wont do anything.

After posting the thread it sunk in that Sony was close but not quite to 14 million in the Americas.

Of course Sony does expect PS3 to ship 15 million in the current FY. Americas only needs 6 million in a year.

Look at me saying only 6 million needed. lol. 2 years ago I would have been killed for being insane.

it could happen this fall? i still belave theres no 360 slim (op only not fact), but natal and move could do well and move some consoles. (now that would surprise me!)

there's a chance that as the casual gamers get slightly tired of the same drivel on the Wii that they have had for the last few years and may defect to a cheaper (potential price cut) PS3 with an impressive array of Move launch titles?
