Forums - Sony - Valve wants PS3 to open like a Mac not closed like a Gamecube.

Yeah, what does he even mean??

So, they don't think the PS3 is going to be where they are in the future? If they stay on the 360, and when PS3 has the exact same install base as the 360, isn't that where they are?

these Valve cats are lazy haters, simple as that, there so use to developing for PC that they're to lazy to try anything else. No one needs you Valve half-life is 5 years ago anyway

The Gamecube lasted 6 years does anyone honestly think the PS3 is going to be discontinued in 2 years? No

Also the PS3 is thriving right now. I really don't know what's going through there minds, they just really hate the PS3, every week they try to find an excuse to try and not sound lazy because they don't want to work on the PS3...just stupid.

Random lame excuse Vale will likely say next week: "Blu-Ray is selling really well now but we predict it'll fail and drop out of the format wars soon, so we don't want to make a game on a Blu-Ray disk..."

I don't even understand what he was saying...

Wow, so more excuses from Valve, cant say I am surprised. Well they had to come up with some new excuses since the PS3 is actually selling pretty decent as of late and the software isnt doing to bad either.

Valve is making even more excuses, they obviously don't like the PS3 but why do they have to slander it.

PS3 has to many gatekeeper functions on who can develop and sell products and what kind of functions said products can have.

Basically, it makes sense to port to Apple because they can do things like Steam cloud and give free updates.

Basically valve LOVES modders and actually building relationships with their fans... etc.  They're all about bringing people in, getting ideas from their fans and collborating with them to make things better.

True they can't do that on 360 either... however it takes no effort to port to 360.  It does make a lot of sense.

Seriously... LISTEN to the interview and you'll understand.

You may actually learn something, it's a very telling and good interview about game development.

Here ya go Valve.  Now you can open up the damn PS3.
