Alan Wake sold about 36k in UK... better than LP2 combined, but not so much.

i'd buy it in a flash if i had a 360,i understand people thinking it should be 100k+ but it is not a genre that explodes out of the blocks,its had one/two days hasn't it

Yea, I am also under the impression that Alan Wake is oddly too low.
However, all the hype could just be internet stuff; I haven't seen any promotion in the US on TV nor in the local Gamestop. Now it isn't looking like 1.5 million is guaranteed.

Nier got a substantial price drop this week, in less than a month. Hardware is painful to see if you don't support the PS3, and NSMB is IMO low in comparison to Wii Sports Resort. Nintendo is leaving a ~6 month gap once again in their release schedule and it is hurting them as you can see. MH3 was just a blip on the radar in terms of 3rd party support and it is really sad.

Without Capcom in the past 6 months, the Wii would literally have nothing except for Just Dance, NOTHING. XSeed is too niche to make an impact, or more like unknown.

Just Cause 2 appeals to a much wider market & had commercials though.

Exactly. I know a lot of people that would rather play LP2 than alan wake.

Just like almost every game.  It is one thing for NPD where some games get two days and others get four weeks, but I don't get why people post this all the time for weekly sales.

Anyways, software seems to be pretty low worldwide right now.  Hope everyone is just saving their money for Red Dead Redemption and Galaxy 2.

No it doesn't. And if you watch PAL charts from 6 weeks ago you see they support my claims.

They aren't really comparable situations.  The charts are only rankings, and Just Cause was competing with Pokemon and God of War.  Nothing of equivalent size has released in the two months since and the minimum to top the charts is much lower now.
