160k was there expectations? I wonder if they even broke even on that game at all.

Where are they at currently? I'm too lazy to check :/

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

their expectations were set at 500k, they said it's in line to meet them. Meaning it's probably halfway there or so. I dont' think that's very good but ubi did fail in the advertising department, the first one had huge amounts of advertising.

Actually, I've seen tons of Red Steel 2 commercials:

i probably saw the red steel 1 commerical about 15-20 times, i never once saw a red steel 2 commercial, although i'm sure they existed.

That's what they're supposed to say. But it really sold poorly :/

But theres one fault in your argument, you can be sued for lying to shareholders. Since its a public company, and they HAVE TO disclose all business changes to their investors, this is an entirely accurate statement.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

hey Ubisoft, your PR is showing

Yeah. I almost hit the report button instead of the quote button.
