It's OK if it goes MP, cause all the PS3 fanboys will tell us they were looking forward to WKC 2 more anyway.

@deskpro2k3
Hard to delay a game that barely has a release date.
I also find it questionable that they say "probably".
If they're going develop a port of a game that they want to come out either this year or the next, they've probably already started...
Unless they're actually still deciding, in which case the games' release dates would be spread apart.

Meh.. FFXIII on the X360 was done in just over a year. Yeah it was a sloppy port though and delaying it would be a better idea. They can easily do it since they didn't give release date (or year for that matter) yet.
I also think MS should allow developers to create games needing a hard drive or at least some additional storage. I don't know if developers would like to do it since they would rule out part of their fan base.. But, since the last update and the ability to use 2x16GB of storage from any USB drive or whatever, there are more possibilities on installing certain parts of games. I mean, if they need to spread an open world across two DVDs, they could easily allow an installation of one of those discs to decrease the limitation. Though in games like FF it's the videos that are the real issue for storage.. Not the game size itself..
Truth does not fear investigation
The argument that PS Fans only liked Versus cuz it was exclusive is tired and so wrong. I was a fan of Versus from the second they announced it and gave info on what it entailed.
-Its a darker tone ala FFVI/FFVII which is a huge improvement from the bright colors and bubbly nature of VIII,X and XIII.
-THe game sports a Shakespearean theme as well which everyone knows tragic stories are always better(ex:Aeris's Death).
-Its helmed by Tetsuya Nomura. Great Artist and visionary for some of the biggest elements in the FF series. Been a fan of every game he had a leading role in.
-Done by Kingdom Hearts team and will play similar to those games. I think is a great idea for the series.
-Exclusive:Which entails a POSSIBILITY of using the PS3's power and potential. It is proven fact that MP games can't do this and PS3 owners like to see their console pushed to the limits. One of the main reason most of us took the plunge in the first place was because PS3 toted its high specs and theorized unlimited possibilities for games. It just seems like every-time a game is given this opportunity, the magical money hat steps in to stifle the console. I'm not going to even go into why this happens >_>...

PSN:Forevercloud (looking for Soul Sacrifice Partners!!!)
Possibly an extra 1 million sales of the game for a cheap port. FFXIII has sold a little over 1 million and will edge to 1.5 million sales. ltd. It would be a good business move to make a 360 version of FF Versus XIII

Well, at this point any fanbase that finds themselves sitting in last place should probably expect to be lied to on a regular basis. At least Wada didn't say he'd cut his own head off or anything. ;)
@NightAntilli
I know FFXIII took just over a year to port and that's exactly my point. Most developers learn from their mistakes; square knows they made mistakes. With this in mind, one would assume they would try things slightly different.

The thing about this is that japanese developers tend to be less vocal about their game engines. However, one thing we can be sure of is that most Square games are and will be developed with Crystal Tools. Crystal tools is a multiplatform engine. Of course it's possible to have modified versions of an engine, but as you said multiplatform games seldom "take advantage" of the multiple consoles they're on. This is debatable of course since games like GTA4(so I've heard) and Crysis 2 have had seperate development teams.
This is getting quite ridiculous. "Playstation 3 only worldwide" says hello to everyone.

Uhm.. That's how it went with FFXIII... Look how the X360 turned out. Pure rush job. So all the blame that the X360 was responsible for linearity is probably just bullocks.. They didn't even properly fill the discs on the X360.. |
But they didn't do that though. They *said* they were gonna wait till the PS3 version was done then work on the 360 version at E3 2008..but low and behold at E3 2009, they had an Xbox build running

Also, if Square was taking advantage of the PS3 with Versus in the first place (same for FFXIII), it's not like they would just STOP taking advantage of it after they decided to go multiplatform...I mean do you understand how ridiculous that sounds???
Yeah, after 3-4 years of development they're going to literally go into their code and hold backspace until the function entitled "everything_that_has_to_do_with_the_ps3" is entirely gone. Then they're going to completely remove all of the function calls to it, and rename the main function "suck_it_sony."
We're gamers and whether you like to admit it or not, we like to hold ourselves in pretty high regard amongst the rest of the fans of the entertainment industry. However, when something like this happens we find it beyond ourselves to even think of using simple logic and deduction to make sense of things.
