Well I grew up on Nintendo but moved to Sony with the PS1. Was all set for the new PS3 and then Nintendo showed the Wii remote and Sony showed its a$$ but telling their consumers thy were idiots who needed Sony to tell us what we needed and that we would buy it regardless. Kinda changed the entire gen for me. Besides when I say the public response to the Wii and the price of the PS3 I knew Nintendo would win and I'd be safe getting it.

I have to say I am happy with my decision so far. I had a 360 for a few months but most of the games just seemed to be the same and it didnt have the same selection of games beyond FPS that the Wii has.

So far I have bought two Wiis. My ex took my old one so I had to buy a new one last month.

One word...Mario Kart Wii. Lol

When I saw Mario I was thinking you would have just put that as the one word

So I would have all the systems so I wouldn't miss out on any games

Nintendo tricked me into buying it. At the time I didn't know they were going to abandon us real gamers and produce nothing worth playing.

Someone put a gun on my mouth...well they got me if for a B-day

Because I love Nintendo Gaming Systems starting from the Nintendo 64, Gameboy, Gamecube, DS so why wouldn't I buy a Wii? (That was after a price cut of course).

But obviously I would buy a console to play the games and I got my Wii just in time with Super Smash Bros Brawl which sucked so many hours of my life playing the multiplayer with my brother. Mario Galaxy was a disappointment for me but Brawl made it up for me :D!

Bought it after seeing SMG, also motion controls at first seemd interesting (became a silly gimmick after a while...). SMG justifyied the purchase, I'd say.
