I do not want to discredit the awesome work VGC does! But they were wrong with the software sales. I was wondering why the PS3 software sold so well, especially the older games. Well, they actually did not. At least not as good as VGC predicted.

NPD released the top 20 software sales now.

Check LBP and Assassins Creed 2. They saw some huge bumps because of the pricecut, but they are not in the top20 according to NPD. This might be an indicator for games like Madden or other games that sold well on PS3 in the past few weeks.

NPD don't even have the balls to give us numbers for most of those games. I'm going with VG Chartz on this one!

You forgot to mention Halo 3:ODST...

the only prblem is lots of those games cud be withn margin of error as the sales aftr top 10 are vry vry close for evry game. so u wnt evr knw the truth, if they r within 10% margin error its fine. dus ioi get full NPd charts?

at the same time MLB and SSFIV are undertracked a lot too..

I dont know but MLB is one game which i feel is always getting under tracked.. it was 350k last month and another 70-80k this month for US only but VGC has it less than 400k even two weeks into May. :S Last yr also i think it was like 340k in US but VGC has it around 310k for whole NA for that month

What I find amazing is the fact Halo 3 ODST is the most overtracked out the whole bunch, yet he failed the mention that game.

Can i ask you a question?

What makes NPD 100% correct, and VGC 100% wrong?



And i agree with badgenome and psrock. Screw NPD. And why didn't you mention ODST?
