I just saw the post that Ben here quoted.

NexGenWars uses something that auto-generates their banners. I don't know what they do or how to get that code, but I know it exists. I'm 100% positive it does, actually.

I use them.
I like to be able to quickly see the sales AND it is the best way to have to know WHEN the VGChartz "Others" numbers are released.

I like it and use often, please keep it.

I don't use them. For people who're on other forums its a good idea, so I'd say keep it Its good advertising for your website.

it does get used. And that hit count is most likley to low, because searching after use of images this way doesn't function very good on google.

Don't remove them, from time to time, you see them on various forums.
But, do they generate more traffic on the page, is a whole different matter. You see the numbers from diffent sigs and therefore no need to visit this site, but on the other hand, they make a lot of people aware about this site.

It might be good if you have the image include vgchartz's url incase people don't make them clickable, or if people ever print a forum from a remote site, etc...

I would think the NGW banners wouldn't need to update using an outside source though...they will just use their own tickers that add on consoles every second or so.

The ones for VGcharts would have to update themselves by using the number ioi adds into the databases of VGC (or wherever the front page gets them from)

I am sure it is possible to have them auto update, but they will not be as simple as the NGW ones
