some people seems happy reading this thread... ;)

I doubt it and if so then that's just wrong

ME2 is 'imo' the BEST game on the 360 if not one of the best and only an idiot would argue that...so if these sales are true, MS isn't supporting this game enough or something, it's just upsetting as a gamer, I hope that this is not true and if it is true then they better friggin do a better job promoting games like this

If I remember, I remember seeing quite a bit of ads. Howver I don't remember what they were about (which is a problem) and I could be wrong. Like I mean, it's possible that since they thought it was such a good game that it would sell itself (not a good idea unless your mario).

it's my 3rd favorite game generation following FFXIII and dead space (odd order yes I know), and my main shock, is that I do not think it will outsell ME1 based on those numbers I could be wrong(and I hope I'm wrong), I thought and critics and I thought (though I think they were a bit to high score happy) that this was one of IMO the best sequals ever made. So if anything the sales should not decrease :(

sorry /end rant

Ok, the release of ME to the PS3 is inminent. I'll tell you why. It is not a big hit for MS so they wont protect it. EA needs more sells so they will port them. It is just a matter of time. If that doesn't happen and EA doesn't port, then it is their loss for being idiots. I will eventually play it pirated in my upgraded PC.

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

yeah just like every publisher who didn't port a PS3 exclusive to the 360 *rolleyes*

You have no idea what, if any, power Microsoft has over the ME franchise or what EA should or should not do.

And being proud of pirating this game doesn't make you look any smarter than EA.

that is bad, Mass Effect 2 had a huge marketing campaign, i remember the 2 minute commercial during the NFC championship game. DI had huge advertising too including a super bowl commercial. Those single commercials alone cost millions.

currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X

1.6 million in only 2 months is not that bad as you people make it out to be. This game deserves more of course, but another game with similar sales is UC2. It also didn't move 2 million units in 2 months even though it came that part of the year and it got just as good reviews as this game. Now UC2 probably has better legs than this game, but remember that this is small fish for M$ when compared to Halo which is their main game this year.

Just curious how many copies did Killzone 2 sell? You guys are using these sales a basis for ME to be ported to PS3 well Guerilla would be stupid in the same sense to not bring Killzone over to the 360. If 360 is a shooterbox as you all say Guerilla would sell double on the 360 then they did on the PS3. Guess what? Neither is going to happen. If you want ME then either get a PC to run it or buy a 360.

I'm not saying sales are  bad, because it's not, it's just puzzling and dissapointing. Now granted the information can be wrong, but the information from (unreliable websites though) said that ME franchise sold 6 million a month ago. Which means to me atleast 2+ million for Xbox360, and 2+ million on computer. and 1.6 million for this which maybe can go up to 3 but I could be wrong.

I'm just saying this is one of the biggest improvements in my point of view from one game to the next. And it's just dissapointing. And I'm a bioware, and Square Enix Cheer Leader so I can be melodramatic XD

But also, this site had sales higher on one platform so I thought hmm atleast 3 mill (though I could be wrong) and it gets cut in half :(

I own it on Computer and don't care if it comes on PS3, (well I care if it sells for bioware :D), but the same thing was said about Final Fantasy, and Metal Gear Solid this and last generation respectively. Now, EA is a multiplat company, however Mass Effect is a little more sensitive than the two I mentioned because of who has the actual IP which I do not know.

An ME 2 port to the PS3 would bomb harder than BioShock.

themanwithnoname's law: As an America's sales or NPD thread grows longer, the probabilty of the comment "America = World" [sarcasticly] being made approaches 1.

This was the end of march its 1 and a half month since then, when did they announce the 6 million mark? Since this game should be around 1.75-1.8 by now and ME1 is 2 million for xbox 360. Which means ME 1 either did really well for PC or the numbers are wrong. They could also mean shipped, which in a way is sold since they already made their share of the money on shipped games.
