I think very few people will deny that Halo Reach Beta is amazing and the upgrade to Halo 3 we were all looking for...but 2 of my buddies on the xbox live who I used to play a lot of Halo 3 matches with are boycotting Reach. They are pissed off at how much they changed the game and are too stubborn to change. They are getting owned to boot which doesn't help.

You know the type...

"I spent 10000s of matches playing Halo 2 and Halo 3 online. And now bungie pull this crap and change the game?...I can't even hop around like a cracked out rabbit and BR anymore...screw this. BOYCOTT!!!"

They are starting their own "Halo Reach Sux" clan. Wouldn't be surprised if they have new gamer tags reflecting this.

Any ideas how to make them see the light and have them give in to Reach by the time the game comes out?

Yeah...the thing is we had a pretty good clan going. And these are people that I know and hang out with...outside the interwebs.

Us 4 played Halo for 4 years now and having the clan of 4 for Reach would be key for those ranked team slayer matches. Losing 2 would have me and my other buddy have to go to matchmaking...and who knows what dorks we may have to play with. :P

Maybe that's why this public of a beta is not a good idea? Because isn't it possible if a ton of people go out and say this sucks! it will hurt sales?

lol...I like this idea. Sadly they will insist I face them in Halo 3 and not Reach, and ever since I played Reach I totally forgot how to play halo 3.

Just leave them alone. Its not like everyone has to like reach. I actually happen agree with them can i join their clan?

I had a friend who was the same way when the Halo 3 beta came out. It's usually more because they suck with the new mechanics than anything else.

Maybe you could have them around a few times to watch you playing online. Whenever I watch someone else playing I always think of the things that I would do different during the match. This always makes me want to play really bad. Perhaps you could ignite something similar within your friends by having them watch a few of your matches. Imagine getting hooked up with shitty teammates and having your boys be like,"what a douch, he didn't have your back." Too bad for them not liking the game because the shit is awesome.
