Forums - Sony - LittleBigPlanet 2 uses God of War III tech

Good to see the tech making the rounds.

And dang, it's good to hear it's releasing this year (hopefully).

Yeah, according to the Gametrailers interview they're using the awesome MLAA used in God of War III.

Hopefully we'll see MLAA in Killzone 3 as well. Quincunx AA was the only drawback in Killzone 2's engine, imo, as it gave the game a generally blurry appearance.

i thought that was intentional??? anyway the blurry appearance made me feel i am really in a war zone xD

awesome antialiasing :).

somehow "anti" doesn't sound right for a God of War technique, i think it should be called "destroy-aliasing"

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

Wow, amazing. This game is going to be incredible. Hopefully LBP2 does much better with 4 players since it's getting better/refined tech. Whenever i've played with 3 other friends on my system and we were messing around with our costumes (sounds so gay haha) and in our pop-it menus, the game and the movements would slow down and skip (become non-fluid). At first it seemed like the ps3 couldn't handle that much going on, but that's obviously not true, especially since we were just in my pod where the landscape and such is really simple. It must be a design/programming issue. Out of curiosity, now that I've mentioned it, has anyone else had this happen while playing 4 players on a single system (or even 3)?

that wasn't hardware, that lag, it maybe servers or your connection

i would think it's because it needs to load a lot of small files from the HDD when he tries different costumes and stuff, especially when 3 people do it at the same time. but i don't see much of a problem with that, because it wouldn't affect gameplay.

hmm...yeah that's a good point. and no, it doesn't really affect gameplay, but it's definitely odd and was, to me, irritating. and yeah, it wasn't lag. like i said, it happened while we were in my Pod, so we weren't even in an online mode...

lol MLAA AA to be used on LBP2, **dies

it's the future of handheld
