Hmmm. They question the accessibility of the track creator when by all accounts it's much more accessible than LBP level creator and we have 2 million UGC levels on that game. At least with auto-complete it's a piece of piss to make a ready to race track, and then you can try stuff out as you go.
Critical of not being able to change the basic shape and size of your character, when there's no such facility in LBP either.
And what's wrong with needing a bit of a learning curve to get the hang of the handling around the race track? Requiring people to learn how to drive; outrageous!!
I'm not saying a 7.9 is an unjustified score, and it's an OK score anyway (still in the green zone for Metacritic). But I think some of the negative points they make seem a little contrived.
Like I said in another thread I think some of the reviewers who gave the game a score below the Meta-average might live to regret being on the low end of the scoring spectrum. I think this game will be all it's cracked up to be.
I do note there was no mention of load times as a point of criticism.
