Forums - General - I cheated on a test for the first time.

There's no such thing as cheating.....Its just using your initiative to out-smart the system.

Hope nobody does it at university. Because if you do, honestly, fuck you. People work extremely hard for degrees and you cheating makes it harder for them and trivializes what they do. I hope you get caught and kicked out of university.

wow, dude.

I've never cheated, yet I've been accused of it it twice.

The first was in a year nine maths practice exam where I got 100% (It was really easy). I got accused and I was not happy, I had to plead with the teacher to believe me. In the end she let it go.

The second was for a program I made in GCSE ICT. I spent hours upon hours making an excellent program (to log seat bookings for a cinema) because I really wanted a high grade. Then some douches from my class decided to tell the teacher that I got "my dad's mate" to do it (which was obviously a lie). Fortunately I was able to prove that I made it by showing files that were made on my laptop.

I can remember that both times I felt like absolute crap, even though I hadn't done anything wrong. I don't know how bad those who do cheat and get caught must feel, I bet (hope) it's worse to be honest.

Besides cheaters never get far in the end. Education is about how well you can apply your knowledge. If you can't apply your knowledge and instead decide to just recite then you will fail miserably when it comes to actually having to use said knowledge.

Why does anyone need to cheat on math? Math is easy.

Cheating is for loosers who would rather play videogames than studying and getting good grades.

I've never cheated by writing the answers down and looking at it while taking a test but I have cheated by working with a friend but it was useless because both of us didn't know crap about the test lol.

I was accused of cheating once by a person in my class who would freakin cheat all the time with someone else, it pissed the hell out of me. I told them off and it never happened again, thinking about it now I wonder why the hell I was accused in the first place.

Very nicely put in your last two sentences. It is why my favorite part of my education so far has been Job Shadowing. Actually being there and using my knowledge along side a professonal is just awesome. It also helps me to learn what areas I need to focus more on.

You cheaters should be ashamed of yourselves. I never cheat... or study for that matter. Still do good though.

Well... to cheat or not to cheat.... that is the question is it not?

Unfortunately in todays society, any edge one can bring to bear puts cheating up there for some.

I don't konw of one industry where cheating has not been prevalent in, unless its for some very specific or specialized position where you actually need some knowledge or skills before going in.

Ah well, not saying its right or wrong, just an interesting facet of the human psyche.

I game.  You game.  We game.

I'm a videogamer, not a fanboy, but have a special place for Nintendo.
