New Labour - Gordon Brown 9 17.65%

Conservatives - David Cameron 15 29.41%

Liberal Democrats - Nick Clegg 21 41.18%

UKIP - Lord Pearson 3 5.88%

Green Party - Caroline Lucas 0 0%

Others (National Parties,... 3 5.88%

Total:51

VERY disappointed in the results.

And I dunno how LIb Dem can have 6.6 Million votes yet 52 seats while labour as 8 million and have 252 seats!

Something needs to change!

The exit poll was very accurate this time.

Labour's saving grace is that a Labour/Lib dem coalition is a majority in terms of actual votes (52%).

In the short run....

In the long run though... running a coalition without the winning party could just cause them to lose the next election bigger unless they fix stuff.  Which is going to be quite difficult at this point in time.

Wow, that South West Northern Ireland seat was a really close race... Only 4 votes in it.

By chance. The exit poll was extrapolated to seats using uniform swing, and as we saw, swing was anything but uniform. It varied locally more than all recent elections.

I am surprised that the elections were on a workday....if I had a workday like I had yesterday in the UK I could not have voted :(;

You would have been able to vote by post.

Can someone help me out with what the heck is the 'Land is Power' party, and why this guy looks so freaking awesome (guy in back with shades)?

I don't know who he is, but he needs to be Prime Minister. He'd do a much better job than the chap in front of him.

I think we'll be seeing a Conservative minority government, with an informal agreement with the Liberal Democrats.

WTF at Green winning a seat.

Lol, I told you so at BNP NOT WINNING ANYTHING OR COMING CLOSE (Seriously, everybody overreacted. Stupid people )

at UKIP not winning Buckingham.

Here is what the seating would be like with proportional representation.
