I'm not that much of a fan of the series, but this actually looks rather amazing. I'm glad to see more colour and open area level design (hopefully there won't be so much time focused on underground levels again >_< ) .  

I would like to add that I hope these new enemies don't indicate a heavier shift toward short-range combat than previous entries in the series unless they change combat mechanics to accommodate that.

I do love the shooting in Gears games.
