I remember people would laugh at me when I said I had a Gamecube. Those guys can suck it now, Nintendo truly is back.

I only hope people use the Wii to play all those Gamecube games they missed out on.

Why are people talking about half a million? According to the chart, if you click on it, the wii sold a quarter of a milliion (254,000+).  Oddly, the total number sold increased as if they sold almost 500k.

Something is clearly wrong -- the numbers contradict.

I could see wii shipments/sales being up a little bit because of SMG, but I don't see how Nintendo could possibly have sold 480k in a single week.  I wonder if there is any special bias being added to the VGChartz formula, as this would certainly show up in the NPD numbers (there's no way Nintendo will be below a million for November after having a 500,000 unit week just after nearly a quarter million).

The DS is easily over one million this week and all people want to talk about is Wii sales?

Good! Because all I want to talk about are Wii sales. Amazing! Wii has already won this generation. All you video graphics whores can kiss my "two Gamecubes duct taped together" ass!

Gamecube was a failure right? Then how in the world is this a success?

In all seriousness, nice boost for all three really. Sony are really doing something here. They might actually be able to pick up some sales and regain ground soon enough. Maybe they can get a couple more exclusive games (from franchises worth a damn) and really do XBOX 360 some serious damage.

The numbers don't contradict.  The sales figures on the front page are for the week ending November 24, the sales figures on the "America Weekly" page are for the week ending November 17.  The weekly page hasn't been updated yet because software figures have not yet been tabulated.

And there was a little thing that happened last week called Black Friday, maybe you've heard of it?  :)

When will the Wii have 50% of the market? I've been figuring it'l happen by June of next year at the earliest and by October by the latest. At which point it'll never look back.
