ill get a wii when last story comes out and i dont care about what anyone says , but my case is diferent since am already married and im the boss where i work, so poeple laugh with me even when i make a bad jokes.

pretty exaggerated, more like overly exaggerated, dude few things to say, me and all the "dude" gamers i know have a wii, i work at gamestop and sometimes guys are brought in by their girlfriends to look at ps3 games, and none of my friends would say your being a pussy for playing the wii unless it was dora or barbie princess, and in that case yea it is pretty gay.....

I was at a party a couple of weeks ago where we had a 360 and a Wii set up on different T.V.'s. We were having so much fun despite the system and the games we were playing. We cheered when a girl who had never played Modern Warfare 2 got 8 kills in a match, we laughed when my friend was out-dueled in Guitar Hero by his wife, and we yelled and screamed as we were chased by a Giant Bowser in New Super Mario Bros. Wii.

We were having fun with friends and just having a great time. It doesn't get much better than this folks. I definitely love it when we can just have fun playing the games, 'cause that's what it's all about.

I have a Wii and any time I take it to a friend's house or have a Wii party everybody's in love with it, no matter their age or gender. My friend's have XBoxes and any girls around are like "Wow, a bunch of games with macho bald guys fighting aliens, how fucking boring." I think the HD systems are the ones getting the short end of the stick in the real world. They just happen to have louder people on the internet.

The only shit I've heard in real life about the Wii was at work. Every single guy at my job has a PS3, and all they play is Modern Warfare and Need for Speed. One of the other guys even says "Oh hey are you playing the shooting game or the racing game?" They asked if I had a PS3, and I said I had a Wii, and they actually gave me a dirty look, and asked me why I had a Wii. Having a Wii is apparently crazy, and it needs an explanation. They told me they heard the Wii only had cartoon games for girls and kids. One guy has a PS3 and a Wii, and he only plays PS3. I think he has 2 Wii games, and they're for his 2-year old and 3-year old kids, like Active Life: Outdoor Challenge, and I'm not sure what else. He thinks that's ALL the Wii has. But then again, ALL he plays on his PS3 is Modern Warfare and Need for Speed. He didn't even know there was a 2nd Modern Warfare game until I told him. This is a guy who buys 1 PS3 game a year, and plays it all year, and he thinks the Wii has no games.

1 - I don't know what is your problem to talk about a console with friends that pretty much enjoy gaming too. With a chick I understand that though.

2 - I haven't read your entire OP, but, many of the studios closed this gen is due to HD pricey projects that flopped miserably and didn't leave margin for recover for such companies.

3 - As a Wii and DS owner I have the prespective that it was the opposite. I never played stuff like Nintendogs, Brain Trainning, Wii Fit and Wii Sports.

I wouldn't say you're wrong, just oh so exaggerated. There will always be people who are just biased and don't know what they're talking about. Cars, paintings, gaming, whatever. They're everywhere.

I have no idea what the situation is over and all in the real world. From personal experience, I just know that most of the "gamers" I know consider the PS3 the giant that tramples the 360, while the Wii looks on from inside its gigantic cave, built from the eyeballs of all the people it has cheated into thinking that it has good games.

It's pretty sad, but fortunately only a reflection of a certain group, namely the ones who grew up playing Counter-Strike.

And while the KB commercials are extreme in nature, they're not "just" about the gamer. Look at the Uncharted 2, LittleBigPlanet and blu-ray commercials for some good examples.

Exaggerated, man. This happens everywhere. I don't talk much about gaming outside the internet, but at the same time, I never got shit from people for playing my Wii. In fact, sometimes on the weekend after say a game of co-op/versus on the PS3/360, we'd then play a game on the Wii (Wii Sports, Boom Blox, Wii Play, NSMB. Wii). Just having a great time together. That's what I like, simply playing games for fun.

Wow gaming is dying? exagerations much when have 3 consoles in a market ever done this well at the same time.

Gaming has never been this great for me.

I can talk to people bout gaming in school, the problem islike Rubang said 70% are MW/FIFA drones...who ONLY buy the new COD or FIFA for their Playstations/XBox system.

But there are other people with better taste, except for this one guy who keeps going on about RE4 on Wii & RE2 remakes & RE everything...
