Alan WAKE looks good, but we cant say it is going to be a GOTY candidate until we finish it from start to finish

yeah, GOW 3 is the best looking game out there, but you can finish it in 5 hours at the most in the second playthrough. I think that a game with that kind of lenght doesnt deserve a GOTY award. I think a good ps3 candidate could be mod nation racers, mainly because you can play it for months and continue finding new content online.

When it was first unveiled, perhaps. Today, nah. Of course that's not to slight it. I just don't see it being much like SILENT HILL, nor will it make the same impact. WAKE doesn't look half as disturbing and unsettling (as you put it). It'll be a different take on the horror genre.

Yah - that's how I feel.  I'm looking forward to playing it, but I'm very sure it's going to be a lot more of a thriller than horror.  I guess an analogy would be Alien and Aliens for me, with Alien as the horror movie and Aliens as the thriller.  Both good, both different.

so what your saying is based off this trailer(which looks very average) the game will win majority goty awards from dozens and dozens of different sites.

Your credibilty goes down down as quick as your post count goes up, its a stunning achievement that you manage this.  You could call the video a lot of things, average is not one of those that many would use.  Stealthily done sir I doff my cap to you.

You can't skip the cutscenes, so atleast 8 hours !110one!!

It doesn't matter if that game is 5 hours long, or 30, or 200. As long as these hours are well spent and thorougly enjoyed it has a shot at GOTY. GOTY doesn't equal cash ratio per hour.

I appreciate all those people who have tried to show the many people here that there is a ? in the title. And that I am not saying AW is GOTY.

And to the person who personally attacked me for 'being thick'. I think you just backfired on yourself. You obviously cant read the ? either. And didnt bother to read the thread before posting.

That ? is the difference between the thread title being my opinion and it being a question to you. How can anyone miss that.
