Ouch...dude, it's business, and I hope Bungie is smart enough to make sure they don't get trapped like IW did.

Would you rather they team up with EA? That always ensures a butt raping, especially for smaller developers, good titles in the past be damned.

Ok, so the Sony PR monkey said the next game is Halo on steroids. If it is seriously another space or future based fps with a space marine-ish protagonist, I will personally go to Bungie and donkey punch the entire studio into submission for being so goddamned stupid.

You know that you have to insert your penis into them from behind in order to properly donkey punch them, right? You'll get tired. And probably sick. But, yes, I agree with that, developers this gen aren't winning major points for originality...

Criterion , Bioware , Harmonix , Crytek , DICE

you know? i didn't see any of these developers complain about anything, EA is not like they used to be, they changed.

I'm not saying EA is the devil incarnate, my point is that they are certainly no better than Activision, perhaps a tad worse (I'm still butthurt over the loss of Westwood...).

The contract still states Bungie can pretty much do whatever they want, while Activision gets the publishing rights and it will be multi. I still think Bungie is just doing this to go multi, because they probably saw less income in just the 360 and everyone knows Bungie = Halo so thats all the fans expected of them over the years.

However, fans of Halo should not be dissapointed. 343 studios is made up of former bungie employees and others eager to make Halo games, so after Reach is done I'm expecting some good Halo games from them, and obviously people will buy any game that says Halo on it, or so MS thinks so maybe they think losing Bungie isn't as bad as it is.

Either way Reach is gonna sell boatloads, especially now that this pretty much confirms this will be Bungie's last Halo game... atleast for 10+ years.

It's just that simple.

I own a PS3 and 360, and are fans of both, So I am glad to have Bungie dev games for the PS3, I think they will be able to do some great things with the cell.

Is Bungie now all of a sudden a wonderful developer and full of great ideas and a maker of amazing games?

Always was for me....

For me too, although I hated them when they let others develop somehow put together Myth III.

So we'll get COD without IW and Halo without Bungie. The only bigger bombshell would be a Mario without Nintendo!
