Your going to get alot of mixed opinions on this..

Im a fan of the FF series and played every single FF with exception of the FF MMO. I honestly didnt enjoy FFXIII (probably expected more due to 5 year wait) and most of my JRPG friends and fans of the series didn't like it as well.

It's not a bad game but no way is it a great one. Its average at best. It does have beautiful graphics, CGI and gameplay was ok. But i felt the game had little to no interaction with the FF world around the characters as you are not free to interact with NPCs, towns etc. Very late in the game you do get to explore a bit but nothing like past FF games. That was the problem IMO with it.

I'd honestly suggest you spend your money elsewhere.

its well worth it, in its own right its a worthy FF game, absolutly stunning is the word comes to mind, great story, ultra great grafix super audio and excellent gameplay.

get it. 9.5/10 from me

It isn't a FF game you want to play more then once, atleast not for me.
for me it goes.

FF4-FF10----->FF13-------------------------------->FF12

I actually think people new to the series would like it more. Then you would not be comparing it the whole time w/ past greatness. Personal I though as a game it was very good. The gameplay was spot on, and imo that is the most important part. It lack in that it lack previous FFs feeling of vastness. In fact I always felt just alittle cramped.

Its the best in the series along with ff8 & ff7. Me & my frinds lost faith in sqre enix after ffx-2 & ff12, but this game put our faith bck into the company & square-enix. ervy1 i knw has loved it at school, there is one girl who hated it tho.

most importantly 4 ppl new to ff got it of whom i knw of & they wer all amazd by it, it was their first ff. if this game attracts and makes new ppl ff fans gud for square.But I keep thinking its fluke and ff14/15 will suck.

Give it a rest. The first 25 hours is not a tutorial.

u get fundamental gameplay systems tutorial 4 hours in on chp 3. aftr tht all tutorials are mostly minor.

Yeah this one is one of the best.

Definetely one of the best like many have said in the posts before me. But like every FF some will hate it, most will love it. ITs got the best characters, gameplay & world/lore in the series. The story is good too & the music is superb.

I say go for it. Its an awesome game in my opinion with an entertaining story, lovable characters, fantastic music and an addictive combat system. Really great stuff :)
