Sad little PSP, maybe a little brother that has your missing analog stick will come at E3 and save you!

Odd conclusion. |
They might be up YOY but I was expecting more of the PS3 momentum, with such a great lineup in the beginning of the year till now. And YOY up for couple of thousands isn't something to boost about. Especially when this is supposed to be the great return of consoles from depression.
So yes, I was expecting more and it's completly logical conclusion.
MY HYPE LIST: 1) Gran Turismo 5; 2) Civilization V; 3) Starcraft II; 4) The Last Guardian; 5) Metal Gear Solid: Rising
Not too surprising to see the reasonable low numbers for hardware, we are beginngin to enter the dry spell for the year so hardware numbers will prob be pretty boring for the next 3-4 months.
Also it appears that at least in NA the boost from the PS3 slim is dying off and 360 is taking ahold again.
Like kowenicki has shown HD consoles are UP YOY
but that doesn't change the nasty shock to see especially PS3 down to 109K before Japan numbers.
I guess the 200K streak is over for now.
And yes PSP is dying but it is 5 years old....this is NORMAL for a 2nd place system people. Time for PSP2.

oh.. and the HD consoles are up quite healthily YOY. |
True, but it's a slow period regardless. There are some high profile releases this month, though.
I think once the beta goes live you'll see sales get a nice bump.
Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!
Kojima: Come out with Project S already!
Poor PSP!
Really, REALLY happy to see Monster Hunter Tri at position 1. When you did heavy marketing and you got a great AAA title (and also high-profile), it will sell on the Wii.
wow hardware sales are suffering compared to previous weeks
| kowenicki said: well... 360 up 20% PS3 up 30% Wii up 3% but you say... "HD consoles are doing really bad"... sorry but that is an odd conclusion, not a logical one.

If these numbers are indeed accurate then I was right when I said that the PS3 would be roughly up by about 30% year over year once the short term boost died down. Though given the fact that the 360 is up as well I may be right for the wrong reasons.
Tease.
