Actually it's more like 1.7 million in 5 weeks. The PS3 is at 6.13 already and will likely get around 200k from Japan + USA (give or take a few ten ks) from last week before it has 5 weeks to go.
I think 8 million is possible and maybe even likely (without going into in depth calculations).

maybe a mil from america (easily reasonable) and 1 million from a combine of japan and europe, with europe being the main cause

With regard to Call of Duty 4 having an ultra short single player campaign, I guess it may well have been due to the size limitations of DVD on the XBox 360, one of various limitations multi-platform game designers will have to take into consideration-Mike B

Where are yall coming from with this XBox 360 hitting 16 million? That's 2.5 million in 5 weeks, and that's even less likely to happen than PS3 hitting 8 mil.

Considering 360 sold 2.8 million last year in the same timeframe, we are guessing it might actually sell MORE with a cheaper price and games
