No, it won't even be better than Final Fantasy XIII.

Anyway, I really don't think that it can "beat" all of these games, since they will be so different, the main focus in MGS4 is completely different than the main focus in FF6 or the main focus of DKC.

And anyway, i'll bet on... no... it will be a great game, but in order to be the greatest game of all time it needs to have an emotional impact of MGS4 caliber, and it won't, since it won't have enough time to build characters, and it also won't have an amazing plot, since this is a game that is meant to sell a lot of copies, and (sadly) games with a very good plot (from my prespective, either minimalistic or highly complex) just don't sell this number.

Maybe we should wait when we actually have the chance to play the game, so far we haven´t even seen gameplay

I think it will be hailed as a return to form of sorts for the series and it will receive higher scores and more favorable reviews than FF XIII did. I think it will have a final Metacritic score above 90.

I dunno, I won't be around for 'all time' :P

@ Red part - I don't think so, I heard the gameplay will be more Kingdom Hearts inspired than old school FF.

@ Blue part - I bet it will as well.

As much as i love Final Fantasy, there is no originality and no creativity with this one. They all look like FF7 characters >_

I doubt it. This generation Jrpg's have not been as epic as I would have expected them to be. Althouh I loved FF 13, I finished the game with a bit of disappointment. It didn't give me that Golden Sun 2, Breath of Fire 2, and FF7 feeling. But I think this has huge potential for this Generation along with The Last Story on Wii.

Well, Nomura was the original author for Final Fantasy 7 (as well as the character designer).
