184k first week Americas + Europe combined (Australia release is this week).

I don't know about you guys, but to me that's amazing!

Calmn down, it's not amazing numbers, the game did not bomb like previous ones. 184K first week for a well advertised, well reviewed and hype game is usually seen as a disapointment, but since this game is doing better than any other MH, I say, excellent start.

Calm down????? I AM CALM.

It is amazing because it's more than most people here, including me, had expected. It even surpassed my high end prediction.

For a Monster Hunter game, those sales are really good.

Oh quit killing the excitement around here. It's the first real Monster Hunter game that had such a huge first week in NA and EU. It is something amazing for us, because it might means another Monster Hunter will go on a Nintendo console due to its successful launch.

And Monster Hunter Tri released on April 23rd in EU and 20th in NA. Give it a chance.

I agree for MH it is an acheivement not to bomb in the west, but stop calling it amazing numbers. I think the game will get decent leg as well, and will each a million based on the start.

I am being realistic here, I am suppose to go crazy for 184k, come on. I really think this put to rest Wii fans don't buy hardcore games, but those arent amazing numbers either, just good which says alot about previous MH games.

184k. Great numbers.

MH3 should have some decent legs. The great online and arena multiplayer should pull in more sales.

Of course sales-legs are not really predictable. *crosses fingers*

In the wilderness we go alone with our new knowledge and strength.

Nice numbers hopefully it will have legs.

What are the chances for the game hitting 500K in the west? A million maybe :O

The sales is not only great for MH in the west. It is good for Wii owners in general.
