If you think they're ready to see Vanille and Sazh sleeping together, then get it......

Lower left hand corner, right by her happy place.

Also, the idea of comparing Pokemon to Final Fantasy is pretty laughable.  They both may be technically RPG's but they really couldn't be any more different.

FFXIII is not made for kids that young. 10 and up is one thing but 6 and 7 is way too young imo. They won't get most of it and some of it is really hard to boot.

I think they'll just get too bored really.

My niece (5) visited while I was playing Katamari Forever, and really liked it (it was a bit too hard for her, but she hasn't played anything else). The game itself is rated at 3+, the only downside is that the King says the most hillarious and mean stuff but it's not voiced.

I dont know, FFXIII its not a game for little kids precisly, its a little complex, but some kids are really genious so that depends, but there are better games for they like: Ratchet & Clank: A crack in time, Ratchet & Clank: Tools of destruction, Little Big Planet (if u have internet that game its endless), next month coming the cartoon kart racing game ModNation Racers.

Oh yeah. They're 6 and 7. A lot of people DIE in FF13. I'm not sure a little kid needs to see that kind of stuff until they are at least 7 1/2 years old.

I'm not even sure it the PS3 is the right gift for a 6 or 7 year old, either. In all honesty, I don't even think that a Wii is a good gift for them. Get them some DS games or if you really want to do them some good, buy them some sort of ball or bicycle or even a trampoline. Don't set them down the path to the dark side so early in their lives!

Yeah, in a few years a PS3 might be wonderful for them but by the time they're old enough to actually enjoy a PS3 it will also be much cheaper.  Kids 10 and under love them some DS's so the more DS stuff you get them the more they'll love you.  If you get them a PS3 there are a few games they'll enjoy but they will likely go back to their DS.

My sister has kids that are 9, 6, and 5 and they have a PS3, Wii, and thee DS's.  You know what gets played the most?  Their DS's by far.  The TV generally gets stuck on some kid show and they play their DS.  Buying them a PS3 at this moment would be a cool gift but would end up just wasting your money.

I don't think the gameplay would be appropriate for them. It's kind of complicated on some aspects.

Btw don't forget LittleBigPlanet ;)

this

dont buy it they will get bored, is a very boring game, even the people that did like it say it gets good after 20 hours , 20 HOURS!!!!!!!
they could enjoy 3 games in that time. But is still the easiest final fantasy ever if they have the patience, they will finish the game since you cant get lost and about the fighting system, some said is complex, but you only have 6 options per battle so i think is the simplest of all to date.
