As a recent Wii owner though, I'm avoiding older Wii first party releases because I'm simply unwilling to pay full price for games that are 3-4 years old. Then again, maybe I'm just spoiled by other companies who drop the prices of even their best selling games over time.

I do not always buy day 1 when I finally got my Wii I bought Super Paper Mario, Smash Bros, Super Mario Galaxy, and Mario Kart Wii. I got my Wii right around Mario Kart came out. A few I would still like such as Animal Crossing, Links crossbow training, Warioware Smooth Moves, all 3 I will willing pay full price once I find a NEW copy. Also pay full price for many 3rd party games, but I am much more willing to wait for them to drop in price because I am certain they will and I tend to get less use of them even the one I really like.
I do not care if Nintendo drops a price on a older game one way or the other. To me they are easyily worth the $50 I pay for them. To others not so much, but that is opinion. I am sorry if somone misses out on such a good game, but that is not Nintendos problem atleast to a point. Same as it is no other companies problem if I happen to miss out on a game I would like, but did not want to pay the asking price. Upsetting if you just now got a Wii? I can see that. But it does not change what I think my friend.
