Forums - Sony - Are you impressed? Best looking shooter Ive seen yet

You can't really tell until you play it yourself, grame rate drops, graphical problems etc they all take away from the experiance. You never tell from these videos what the final games is going to play like.

So far KillZone2 is looking pretty good, but it needs more colour (not just grey and pretty red :) ) . I blame all these grey games on on MOH :(

It definitely looks better then CoD4, but then again CoD4 never really looked that amazing to begin with, and a lot of games looks better then it.

Killzone 2 looks amazing looking though.  The textures are blurry, kinda...

Top 3 favorite games: Super Mario Galaxy, The Sims 2 (PC), The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker

I find all Console First Person games look a bit blurry..

PS2 or PS3 doesnt matter, same controller, and the way the sticks are laid out, its just not good for FPS. I played resistene, and while the controls were improved for that game, that doesn't change the layout of the actual controller, which doesn't compare to 360 controller for FPS games. On another note, that game does look amazing for a console shooter, I can't wait to see it in action myself. Still though, I have my doubts about the over quality of the game when it comes to gameplay, because I played kz1, and I don't think I need to elaborate any further.

Currently Playing:

PS4 - Killzone:SF and Assasins Creed 4

XBox One: BF4, CoD:Ghosts, Dead Rising 3, Forza 5

Changing channels with my voice: priceless!!!

Thats what I mean. I've played other playstation FPS and the pad just doesnt work all that well. nothing to do with developers, more  to do with sonys wanting to make the pad look symettrical. Using both thumbsticks that close together feels wrong and cumbersome.

Its probably going to be a really good game but marred by the controllers design.

Looks good for a PS3 game. The textures are kind blurry, but that's one of the weak parts of the home consoles and was to be expected. Also, the detail of the characters seems to be focused on their upper part (i.e.: not in the legs), but still looks nice. I like the lighting effects, they look cool.

But as stated above, it's nothing near PC levels. I'm sure leo forgot the "on consoles" on the title.

What do you expect its in pre alpha.

It better look good! Its the "Saviour" of the PS3. It needs to boost hardware by at least 3-4 million units.

It looks good...I'm just sick of the "pre-alpha" arguments. It's not going to magically look 10x better...it's just minor improvements from here.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

Don't be ridiculous. I've played dozens of shooters using the dualshock over the years and have had no problems at all, as have millions of others. I've also played shooters using the original Xbox controller, and the Gamecube controller, both of which I found worked fine. It perhaps only feels 'wrong' because you aren't used to it.

After playing Resistance and COD4 on the PS3 I can safely say the Sixaxis controller works for FPS, and that for any gamer who's in anyway familiar with a dualshock, it's certainly not going to take away from the experience.
