People who post these things know exactly what they are talking about. They look at trends and sales and predict.
Now the 360 sold 2.8 million consoles last year during the same timeframe, if it just MATCHES that it will break 16 million, and we expect it to exceed that.
yes 17 million is far fetched |
I agree with you Lost, in that people are clearly not looking at things properly, it should be able to get about 15.75 to 16 million by my guess.
So i agree with you on your point, but your numbers are wrong. Last year the 360 did 2.8 million in November and December...so your starting point should be the beginning of November, not 2 weeks in.
as of week ending 3rd November 360 was at 12.95 million, if we add 2.8 million to that is will make it to 15.75 million....I expect it to do slightly, but not that much better than last year. (if you compare the lines from last to this year, despite 360 being higher before christmas, they have actually crossed paths now, 360 last year was higher for the week ending the 18th than 360 this year was for 17th. not quite sure about when all those weird American holidays fell though, which may have helped last years w/end 18th)
EDIT; actually i believe i just gave the 360 an advantage, because that 2.8million was for 9 weeks over November and December.... so for what i said to work you either have to start from just after the week ending 27th October, meaning 360 this year is at 12.75 million instead of 12.95....or else also add the first week that ends in January.
