And I'm not sure why CVG is "surprised" it's releasing this fall. Maximizing profits is a piece of cake when you release in time for the reputation to build before Christmas instead of the middle of the yearly slump.

It's because of two things:

1. It's coming really fast to the market. Around 6 months after the announcement.

2. Usually Nintendo have released its hardware just when the shopping season starts to make faster return on the launch costs.

Seems the 3DS will be the thing to get this Christmas. Kinda odd that it's coming so soon though, given the new Pokemon is a regular DS title.

Now I just gotta decide whether to get one at launch, or wait for the superior version ~2 years in. I gues I'll wait and see what titles are announced for launch.
