They do that very often in PAL regions, most, if not all games released there get a Platinum version within a year of release. In the US I expect we'll see a GOTY version and then platinum sometime in 2011, kind of like what happened wtih LBP, it's been Platinum in PAL forever, but just got GH in the US after a GOTY version last year. PAL will be getting the GOTY LBP now though, at bargain price of course.

Might be too soon IMO. Its still selling quite well at full price. I'd give it until after this Christmas and lower the price (go platinum) in January.

they should have waited a bit longer even if it has already reached the platinum sale requirements

platinums is the only thing we have over NA region and for that I'm pleased.
I think the rule is any sony exclusive that gets over 1mill is eligable.
