The only thing that kind of throws me off on this is the fact Mario was been walking on clouds since Super Mario Bros. 1

Precisely. He looked cool but the controls were just....ugh. I am curious to learn more about Cloud Mario, however.

For some reason the pic didn't load for me at first. So when I read "Cloud" Mario, the first thing I thought was some random combo of FFVII and Mario... then I read the description and refreshed lol.
That is just win.
